Oppo Realme 1 Benchmark and Performance

Oppo recently launched the Realme 1 in India at a starting price of just Rs. 9000. At this price, it is giving really tough competition to the Mi's Redmi 5 and Redmi Y1.

Its design is excellent and has an LCD Display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2160 screen resolution. It is available in two variants: one with 3GB RAM and 32 GB Flash Storage while the second variant comes in 6GB RAM and 128 GB Internal Memory.

And guess what? The 6GB RAM variant is priced at just Rs. 14000. This makes the Oppo Realme 1 the cheapest phone to offer 6GB RAM in the market.

Here is the Full Specification of the Realme 1 Smartphone: GSMArena

It is powered by the latest and powerful MediaTek Helio P60 Processor. A lot of the people are skeptical about this Processor. It is common for most people to assume that Mediatek Processors are bad. However, this is not always the case.

Some of the cheap MediaTek processors are pretty bad but the Helio lineup is decent. And the MediaTek Helio P60 is very powerful due to the ARM'S Cortex A73 cores. The same processing cores are also used in Snapdragon 636 and 660.

In fact, MediaTek Helio P60 is even better than Snapdragon 636. Here's a proof of the same: Tech Centurion.

Despite the fact that the GPU of Helio P60 is not too great, the remaining specs are greater. In Antutu Benchmark, Realme one reaches 142,500. This is an wonderful score which was previously possible just for the flagship mobiles. Here is a gaming review of Realme 1.

The gaming performance is decent and PUBG can also be played at medium settings. In general, the opening time of apps is fast and the user experience is smooth.
The only con of the Realme 1 is that it doesn't have a fingerprint scanner. But the Face Unlock works well. If you can live without Fingerprint Scanner, this is a superb deal.

What I liked in Realme 1:

  1. Price
  2. Display
  3. Design
  4. Performance
  5. Camera

What I didn't like in Realme 1:

  1. Lack of Fingerprint Sensor
  2. Average Low Light Camera Performance
  3. Face Unlock does not work in low light

Xiaomi Redmi 5A Antutu Benchmark Score

Xiaomi launched their latest budget smartphone in November 2017. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A is a low-budget phone with exceptional features. It is powered by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 425 Processor and comes in 2 variants. One of the variants has 2 GB RAM with 16 GB Internal Storage while the other variant has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB Internal Memory. It supports Dual SIM and there is also a dedicated slot for Memory Card using which you can increase the Internal Storage to 128 Gigabytes.
The Display Resolution of Redmi 5A is 720x1280 pixels and the phone's weight is 137 grams. The phone has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera while the megapixel count for the front-facing camera is 5. This phone has a 3,000 mAh Battery with a standby of 8 days.
The Snapdragon 425 Processor has 4 ARM Cortex A53 cores which are clocked at a frequency of 1.4 Gigahertz and it also has the Adreno 308 GPU. Even though this GPU isn't powerful enough, it is good enough to run the majority of Android games without any lagging. Here's the Antutu Benchmark Score of Redmi 5A:

Redmi 5A Antutu Benchmark

On Antutu Benchmark Test, Redmi 5A has scored 31,568 points. On average it should score between 30-35k. It is a really decent score for a low budget smartphone. However, processors like Snapdragon 430 and 435 do a far better job in Benchmarks. Snapdragon 435 powered phones like the Xiaomi Redmi 4X will get Antutu Score of 45k points. If you want to test this on your android device, you can download the Antutu app from the Google Play Store. The link for the same is here

Redmi 5A Price

2GB/16GB: Rs. 4,999 / CNY 599 / $90 USD

In my opinion, the Redmi 5A is currently the best for people who don't want to spend too much money on a smartphone. I hope you enjoyed the post.

Redmi Note 5 Expected Launch Date, Price and Features

Xiaomi's Redmi Note Series is one of their most selling series that brings something special to the market every year. We have similar expectations for the upcoming Redmi Note 5 as well. In this article, we will discuss the expected launch date, price and the features/specifications of the new Redmi Note 5.
2 years back, Xiaomi launched their mid-range Redmi Note 3 which had an exceptionally powerful Snapdragon 650 processor, great battery, metal body, and fingerprint sensor. These great features made it one of the best selling mid-range device of 2015. Next year with the Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi improved the Rear Camera by introducing Sony's IMX 258 CMOS Sensor, Improved the Power Efficiency with the 14nm FinFET Architecture of Snapdragon 625 and improved the overall build quality and design. And once again, it became one of the best selling phones in countries like India.
But still, their a few flaws which Xiaomi might rectify this year with the Redmi Note 5.
One of their highest priorities would be to improve the rear as well as the front camera. They are likely to introduce a Dual-Camera as per the initial renders. Also, this phone will feature a bezel-less display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. We expect the processor to be Snapdragon 630 or the new Snapdragon 636. You can find the specifications of all Qualcomm Snapdragon Processors on this page.

Redmi Note 5 Expected Features

  • Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 630 Processors
  • 5.99-inch Bezel Less Display
  • 12MP Dual Camera
  • 4000/4100 mAh Battery
  • 18:9 Aspect Ratio with 1080x2160 Screen Resolution
  • 3/4 GB RAM
  • 32/64 GB Internal Storage
  • MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat or Oreo
Some leaks suggest that it may still have the older Snapdragon 625 but that's quite unlikely as Xiaomi always tries to give the best available processor in their Redmi Note Series. So, in my opinion, it is most likely to have the Snapdragon 636 or the Snapdragon 630 Processor. As discussed before, it will have a bezel-less display and it will be really interesting to see a full-screen phone in the budget segment. Xiaomi is unlikely to compromise on the battery life and so it will have 4000/4100 mAh Battery. Again for the first time in this series, Redmi Note 5 will have a Dual Camera and we hope its a combination of Telephoto + Wide Angle Lens for taking portrait shots.
We also hope to see a better front-facing camera for selfie lovers. Another highlight of the display is the 18:9 aspect ratio. We expect the phone to launch in different variants with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB Internal Storage.

Redmi Note 5 Launch Date

Redmi Note 5 is expected to launch at the end of 2017 or early 2018. If we go by the previous trends, it will definitely launch at most by February 2018. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was launched in India in January 2017 and most likely, they will launch it in the same month in 2018. It is expected to launch globally during the same time.

Redmi Note 5 Expected Price

The previous generation Redmi Note smartphones had a similar price and even though there are a lot more features in this one, I don't expect the price to be more than 10% higher than RN4.

Redmi Note 5 3GB/32GB: $185 or Rs.12000 or 1200 CNY
Redmi Note 5 4GB/64GB: $216 or Rs.14000 or 2400 CNY

The price is perfect, right? So, if this phone launches at this price with the same features mentioned, will you buy it? Give your opinion about this phone in the comment section below!
